The Central Dining Hall

Our new Central Dining Hall opened in January 2009 [campus map]. It features beautiful stained glass windows on either side of a promenade, and appointments such as this fine molding, which gives the dining hall a special feeling. But the most important thing for hungry college students: it provides good food, and lots of variety, with numerous dining units that offer different kinds of meals, snacks, desserts--and all prepared under the watchful eye of the dining hall's Chef on staff.

The Central Dining Hall is home to both the Rivers Street Cafe and Sanford Commons.

River's Street Cafe

River's Street Cafe is the larger area, with many separate dining units that offer different kinds of food.

• Homestyle Classics is the college version of your family's kitchen. A full breakfast is served here. Lunches feature delectable entrees, fresh baked breads and nutritious vegetables. Chicken, ribs, roast beef and pork loin are cooked on the rotisserie. 
• Noodle Works allows students to customize their own pasta dishes, adding vegetables, chicken breast or meatballs. 
• Wrapps offers a variety of tortillas stuffed with tasty combinations. Hot chicken, beef and veggie burittos are popular selections.
• Vegetarians and vegans find just what they are looking for in Healthy Select, where low fat and reduced calorie becomes good for you--and delicious.
• At our Sushi Bar, Burmese chefs prepare fresh California rolls and many other varieties of sushi. (By the way, our sushi is offered in other units around campus too.)
• At the Rivers Street Grille, you can buy a grilled burger, chicken breast sandwich or hot dog. 
• Fire Side Pizza offers hand-tossed pizza baked in our very own brick oven. The Fresh Market is an island of fresh ingredients where students create their own salads, add fixings to hot baked potatoes and enjoy freshly made soups.
• How about dessert? Food Services prepares some of the best, made from scratch desserts in our very own bake shop. That's what you'll find served at Treat Yosef.
• Also, parents: you can surprise your college student with a decorated cake for birthday or other special occasions--freshly baked in our Bake Shop.  

Sanford Commons

On the other side of the promenade, students will find Sanford Commons. Here you will also find numerous food units offering a variety of foods! 

• Traditions offers home-style cooking. 
• Habanero's serves up Tex-Mex dishes made to order. 
• Salads Plus has fresh salad ingredients, a deli bar with penne grill, and a fruit bar.
• Our Chick-fil-A franchise is just as popular as the one on your town's main street. 
• The Pizzeria offers freshly prepared pizza--and we will deliver too!
• There's a Sub Shop in Sanford Commons.
• And a place where students can grab a quick bite between classes, called On-the-Go.
